Heather participated in our Balanced Habits KICK START program last year hoping it would motivate her to work out. She quickly learned how much she had been overeating. At first, she felt hungry, but after 4 challenging weeks of having a balanced diet and working out, she lost weight and felt wonderful. Heather attended some of the group workout sessions that were provided. “When I did, I thought they were incredible and really pushed me.” She lost 10lbs just during the program and an additional 10lb after by following the plan. Plus, she was able to integrate some of the workouts and the eating guidelines into her everyday life.
When not following the plan and keeping track of her diet, Heather noticed a negative effect. “I took a month off of journaling, drinking water, and watching what I eat for the holidays and have gained 10lbs back. I’ve started journaling and keeping track again to get back down to where I was.” To those who are interested in trying out the Balanced Habits KICK START, Heather’s advice is “It’s only 4 weeks. You won’t starve (even though you might be hungry). You can do just about anything for 4 weeks.”
